Because You Asked about the Line between Prose and Poetry
by Howard Nemeverov

Sparrows were feeding in a freezing drizzle
That while you watched turned to pieces of snow
Riding a gradient invisible
From silver aslant to random, white, and slow.

There came a moment that you couldn't tell.
And then they clearly flew instead of fell

A WORD
, or Two, or Three...
"We are more pained by ignorance than delighted by instruction."
--Samuel Johnson--18th Century British writer, wit and wordsmith

Welcome to the Capital City School website and to summer vacation 2010!  The purpose of this site is to provide students with some of the additional support they may need to enjoy a rewarding educational experience at Capital City School as they progress through the soon-to be-upon us 2010-2011 school year.  Hopefully, this site provides yet another resource to parents and their students in the quest for academic success.
School will resume on September 7, 2010, the day after Labor Day. Returning students should have already been notified by mail about when and where to pick up their first assignments.  New students will need to make an appointment for orientation.
